ENGAGE YOUR BIGGEST FANS - VIRTUALLY!

From marathons to music festivals, events of all kinds have been shifted to the virtual realm this year in the wake of the COVID-19 crisis. However, real apparel still generates excitement, creates engagement and rewards attendees. Here are three ideas to help you sell more apparel for the online world.

  1. Send Out Custom Shirts Prior to a Conference
  2. A branded T-shirt or logoed polo is a great way to create unity for virtual conferences and meetings. Attendees can receive the items in advance of the event, with instructions to wear their shirt during the video conference. What else can you send out?

  3. Help Your Local 5K Fundraiser Go Virtual
  4. Runners who have paid to enter your race can receive a swag bag that includes a printable finish line and winner’s break tape, participant run shirt, runner’s bib, and finishers medal.

  5. Commemorate a Virtual Concert
  6. Even though live music has been put on pause, that doesn’t mean there isn’t still opportunity for creative, commemorative T-shirts and other swag. Philadelphia music venue Union Transfer, for example, created a humorous shirt featuring images of hand sanitizer, toilet paper and a “cough here” circle near the elbow crease, along with a list of its postponed lineup. You can even build an online webstore with an array of trendy on-demand apparel for sale!

RETHINKING BUTTONS AND PINS

  1. Consider a different shape: Hearts and more!
  2. Forget the pin . . . Full-color peel-and-stick appliqué badge won’t leave holes in jackets and shirts.
  3. Or a plastic ID badge with custom lanyard.
  4. You can never go wrong with a classic: 3 ½” round celluloid button.
  5. Sometimes a pin is a magnet! Especially on a thick coat or jacket! Magnetic pins can double as a memo holder, paper clip, or even a tie clip.
  6. Hard or Soft - enamel pins are always winners! These classic lapel pins offer wearers easy way to identify where they work or what causes and organizations they support.
